This is just a quick post for a lovely fellow blogger I met on Combe Martin beach called Helen, she is on hols from up tut north and is staying for a week. It was great chatting to you and I hope that Combe Martin is every thing that I have said it is in my blog posts!
I had forgotten the question 'What noise annoys an oyster?' the answer being 'A noisy noise annoys an oyster!' (try saying that after a bottle of scotch!)

beutiful photo of lumps in the water.
Hi Martin, Helen here, it was great to meet you too! I was going to email you yesterday, but couldn't find an email address on your profile, so I put a note through your door but I think maybe Bandit ate it... I blog anonymously so am commenting anonymously too, but my blog address is on the note. And thanks, nAncY - I'm having a great time, Combe Martin is a delightful place, lumpy water is just one of its many virtues.
Martin, you didn't answer my question a couple of posts ago, but I found out the answer by reading the NDJ.
I wonder about the email with this account. Every time I post here, I get an error message.
Okay here goes...
(drinking a bottle of scotch)

aaaa nnnfff niffffty nnnooodle (laughing)
aww, what the heck wuz I supposed to say?
zzzzzz...
I can't say it even when I'm stone cold sober.
what noise annoys an oyster.
Is that a Frank Crummet song from the 30's?
Don't laugh, he was a real person like you or me (well, me anyway)
My dad has stuff by him which he taped (so 20th century) for me ages ago.
He (F.C., not my dad) also did, the prune song and the one about Abdul a-Bul-Bul Amir and Ivan Skavinski Skavar having a duel.
Straight up! No word of a fib.
Anyway, hope you are all doing great down in rocky rollin' N.Devon. L8rs
